Unspoilt Northumberland - Campaign Toolkit
As we start to welcome back visitors to the county, a campaign toolkit has been developed to help ensure that Northumberland is treated with the respect it deserves. We want to build awareness of the Countryside Code, to reinforce behaviours that help to keep Northumberland as nature intended, and to ensure that everyone who visits the region can enjoy it in a safe and friendly way.

Did you know there are more than 60 million visits to the north east each year, bringing with them a spend of over £2.5 billion? Visitors to our region are more likely to engage in history and heritage than visitors to the rest of England (Visit Britain 2015). A successful business must understand the markets they are targeting and the customers they are hoping to attract; knowing your place intimately is vital to be able to use it effectively as a tool.
Land of Oak & Iron has a fascinating industrial heritage of pioneering ironworks, steel furnaces and sword making; a beautiful natural heritage of steeply wooded valleys and a rich cultural heritage of rapper dancing, music and arts. Build your knowledge of our area with our free toolkit, designed to help you grow and develop your business.
