DCMS Select Inquiry into the Impact of COVID-19 on Coastal Tourism

This week the National Coastal Tourism Academy provided oral evidence to the Government’s DCMS (Department of Culture, Media & Sport) Select Inquiry into the impact of Covid-19, representing coastal tourism alongside representatives from VisitBritain, the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions, National Trust and the British Holiday and Home Parks Association.

New industry standard in development in response to COVID-19

Northumberland workshop

VisitBritain/VisitEngland have been working across the industry and with the UK Government to ensure that tourism is able to recover as quickly as possible once restrictions are lifted. They have also been talking to destination management organisations about how they coordinate their destinations coming out of lockdown.
