New Accreditation Scheme for Glamping Operators

VisitEngland have launched a new Quality Assessment Scheme for “glamping” operators.

The revamped ‘alternative accommodation’ scheme will provide an independent accreditation for the glamping sector to recognise excellence in the field.

Carbon Trust Launches Green Business Fund

The Carbon Trust has launched a new fund providing capital for smaller businesses (fewer than 250 employees) to replace old, energy inefficient equipment. The £7m fund has been made available to SMEs on a first come-first served basis, and will offer energy saving training, cost saving assessments, implementation advice, and capital support for the installation of energy efficiency equipment.

Flower Festival Alnwick Castle 1 - 3 July 2016

With The kind permission of Her Grace the Duchess of Northumberland, SSAFA Northumberland will be holding a Flower Festival in Alnwick Castle from 1 - 3 July. This event coincides with the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of the Somme. SSAFA is the oldest of the military charities, providing assistance to ex-servicemen and women and their dependents.
