Winners announced for North East Tourism Awards

Tourism businesses from across the North East were celebrating on Tuesday night as the winners for the North East England Tourism Awards were announced at a glittering ceremony held in Newcastle Civic Centre’s Banqueting Hall.

Alfie Joey, BBC Radio Newcastle breakfast show presenter, hosted the awards, which saw five new entrants walk away with gold awards including Battlesteads Hotel & Restaurant who won an outstanding three gold awards on the night.

Tourism businesses across the North East are keeping their diaries free for the most important event of the year as the shortlist for the North East England Tourism Awards is announced.

Northumberland has performed exceptionally well again, with 49% of shortlisted entrants from Northumberland and we are in contention for 87% of the award categories available!
