Business listings to be removed from England and Britain websites
VisitEngland this week emailed all quality assessed businesses stating that business listings on the EnjoyEngland and VisitBritain websites will be removed from the 1st April 2012. VisitEngland state that national websites will carry “more engaging imagery and inspiring ideas to encourage and direct web traffic to the destination website”. In the same email they confirmed the re-appointment of Quality in Tourism to manage and develop the national quality schemes, and the introduction of a number of new benefits.
These changes will not affect your listings on VisitNorthumberland.com. Since VisitEngland has chosen Northumberland as one of their premier destinations – a national ‘Attract Brand’ – we expect advertisers on VisitNorthumberland.com to see increased traffic as a result.
If your business is not listed on VisitNorthumberland.com contact us now. Make sure you are prepared for this change before the April 1st deadline.
